Grant Dayton got the win as Orange evened Fall World Series/Auburn University

Grant Dayton pitched five shutout innings Saturday to lead the Blue team to a 9-3 victory and even Auburn's Fall World Series intrasquad tournament at Plainsman Park.

The rubber game in the three-game series is set for noon Sunday.

Joseph Sanders was the star at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple and drove in four runs for the Blue Team, which rebounded from a 5-2 game one loss. Wes Gilmer went 2-for-4 with a RBI while. Caleb Bowen also had two hits.

Paul Burnside was sharp on the mojnd for the Orange, pitching fie innings and allowing two runs. Justin Hargett was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Brian Fletcher also had two hits.

Jon Luke Jacobs allowed just one hit and pitched four shutout innings as the Orange team won 5-2 on Friday. Austin Hubbard was sharp for the Blue team, giving up one run in four innings.

Casey McElroy led the Orange team at the plate with a three-hit night, driving in two. Justin Hargett drove in two runs.

Scott Shuman struck out four in 2 1/3 innings of relief for the Orange team.
