Linebacker Jonathan Evans made it clear Sunday. His commitment to Auburn is solid.

Evans canceled plans to attend Ole Miss’ camp over the weekend and told AuburnUndercover.com he intends to play at Auburn, where his brother, Chris, will be a senior linebacker in the coming season.

“Nothing has changed at all,” said Evans, who committed to Auburn in early June.

Evans said he plans to spend his fall weekends watching his brother play his final season for the Tigers.

Evans, 6 feet and 205 pounds from Blount High School in Prichard, participated in Alabama’s camp last weekend. Afterward, he said his commitment might not be as solid as it once was. But Sunday, he expressed no doubts.

Evans said he and his brother talk almost every day.  He said he looks forward to seeing him play his senior season.

“I haven’t set up any official visits or anything yet,” Evans said, “but I will probably be in Auburn for all of the games this fall to watch my brother play.”

As a junior, Evans was in on 104 tackles. He had five sacks, forced 10 fumbles and intercepted two passes.

Athlete Lonnie Pryor, once a significant Auburn target, has committed to Florida State.

Pryor, from Okechoobee (Fla.) High School chose the Seminoles over LSU, Clemson and Georgia.

“It felt like the place I wanted to be,” Pryor told The Palm Beach Post. It was just a feeling like I didn’t have at any other place.”

Receiver chooses Vols over Auburn

Wide receiver Zach Rogers of David Lipscomb High School in Nashville, says he will join his brother, Austin, at Tennessee. He narrowed his choices to the Vols and Auburn before making his decision.

He also had offers from Alabama, South Carolina, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Texas Tech, North Carolina, Duke and Stanford, among others.
