A four-game home-and-home series with Florida State will highlight  Auburn’s nonconference schedule in John Pawlowski's first season as head coach.

The Tigers, who open their season against Elon in the first of a three-game series on Feb. 20, will play at Florida State on Feb. 26 and 27 and return to Plainsman Park to play the Seminoles on Feb. 28 and March 1. The Tigers will also play a nonconference game against Alabama at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery on March 10.

Pawlowski will coach his first Southeastern Conference series when the Tigers travel to Tennessee on March 13. A week later, the Tigers will open SEC play at home with a three-game series against Arkansas.

“The schedule is a tough,” Pawlowski said. “ If you compare all conferences, the SEC is as tough as it's going to get. We need to be playing our best baseball at the right time, and that is toward the end of the year. Our team has to get better from Day 1 all the way through the season, and this schedule provides us that opportunity."

Of Auburn’s 56 games, 34 will be against teams that played in the NCAA Tournament last season.
