Defensive tackle Kenneth Carter will join five other Auburn commits at Ladd-Peebles Stadium for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Classic on Dec. 12 in Mobile.

Carter, 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds from Greenville, found out Friday he was invited to the all-star game. An injury allowed Carter onto the 37-member Alabama roster. Other Auburn commitments playing for Alabama include Jess Lanier linebacker LaDarius Owens, Springville wide receiver Jeremy Richardson, Ariton defensive end Craig Sanders and Troy/Charles Henderson linebacker Jawara White.

Offensive lineman Shon Coleman of Olive Branch will play on the Mississippi team.

“We are very proud of Kenneth,” Greenville defensive line coach Chris Mosley told us. “I was real excited for him. I know he will represent Greenville well in the game.”

Several Auburn targets are slated to play in the game as well. Theodore linebacker C.J. Mosley will be on the Alabama sideline. Targets on the Mississippi sideline will include Oak Grove athlete Jay Hughes, Olive Branch offensive lineman Damien Robinson and Simmons defensive end Carlos Thompson.
