AUBURN - Auburn's men's basketball will try to take the step they couldn't take last season and the women will try to answer their Southeastern Conference championship, starting tonight.

The Auburn men, who finished 24-12 overall and 10-6 in the SEC, open their season against Niagara, a 26-game winner last season. Tipoff time at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum is set for 8:30 p.m.

In a rare doubleheader, the defending SEC women's champions will open their season against Troy at 6 p.m.

To see and hear what men's coach Jeff Lebo and women's coach Nell Fortner had to say their openers, go below for the viceos.
